The Shetland Youth Music Forum is an initiative to increase music making and participation opportunities for young people in Shetland, from pre school to 25, funded by the Scottish Arts Council. As well as young people, the forum welcomes everyone with an interest in youth music; musicians, festival and events organisers, educators, music industry professionals, youth workers, technicians, business people, community workers, funding providers, recording engineers, music distributors... By bringing together young people and the Shetland music community, the forum will support and build a robust and cooperative infrastructure of music providers, creators and facilitators. The Forum administrators keep members updated with youth music news, events and opportunities and invite you to forum meetings. And if you have information regarding youth music you wish to publicise, please let Music Development Officer Bryan Peterson ( ) know and he'll pass it on to the forum members. Purpose of the forum
