Shetland Night Success

The 'Shetland Night' at Celtic Connections 2008 has been hailed a tremendous success by organisers and audience alike.

Around 50 top flight Shetland musicians took part in the concert during the first weekend of the 2008 annual Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, in front of a sell-out audience of around 2500 people.

The concert, organised by Chris Stout and Davie Gardner in conjunction with Celtic Connections management team featured Aly Bain, Fiddlers Bid, Filska, Rock Salt and Nails, the Jim Halcrow Dance Band, Bryan Gear, Violet Tulloch, Astrid Williamson, Hom Bru, Lise Sinclair, Ryan Couper, Martin Taylor and the Cullivoe Fiddlers.
