This years Edinburgh based Scottish Fiddle Festival 'Fiddle 2007' has just finished, with Shetland fiddle players occupying a central role in much of the proceedings.

Shetland fiddle players Jenna Reid and Catriona Macdonald both featured prominently, with Jenna playing solo in a new Scots Fiddle Concerto, entitled 'Tiree Air', composed by Simon Toumire.

Catriona Macdonald, along with accompaniest Harris Playfair, who's also from Shetland, appeared at the event's final concert along with a host of other internationally recognised musicians.
