Festival Review - Fiddle Frenzy

This years Shetland Fiddle Frenzy, a six day whirlwind of workshops, concerts, sessions and much much more cultural shindings, all revolving around Shetland's most lauded instrument, once again proved a major success for promoters Shetland Arts.

With over 40 'students' travelling from around the world to take part in the event and many many more locals adding to the 'Frenzy, the event proved a taxing but highly enjoyable one for all concerned.

With musicians such as Fiddlers Bid, Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham and Catriona Macdonald on had to deliver workshops and perform at the concerts, not to mention international attendees 'Quebecosse' from Quebec delivering their own style of fiddle music and step dance, the event appears to be going from strength to strength.
