The 2006 Accordion and Fiddle Festival has again been hailed an astounding success by the organising committee, The festival which focuses very much on the dance music of Shetland, Scotland, Ireland and Scandinavia takes place in October each year and visits halls and venues all over Shetland. It also hosts Shetland's biggest annual dance as part of the festival, where around 1000 people dance the night away to a wide range of dance bands in Lerwick's Clickimin Centre.
