'The Moarfield Waltz' is a fitting tribute to one of Shetland's finest and best loved musicians, the late Gordon Jamieson from Yell And its equally fitting that when tribute be paid to a great muscian and composer that some of the finest traditional artists in Shetland today rally round to record their own musical tributes to another they respected so much and also fitting that the album focuses on dance music, Gordons great musical love. Names such as the Cullivoe Dance Band, Da Fustra, Bryan Gear and Violet Tulloch and the Alan Nicolson Dance Band turn the album into a veritable who's who of Shetland dance music and probably the kind of tribute that Gordon himself would have been mightly proud of.
