Fancytunes Ensemble is a group of Classical musicians and friends, the majority of whom are based in Yell. They have been putting concerts on to raise money for various charities for the past three years. The nine-piece band is performing a concert, entitled "On Song", on Saturday 28th November at 1pm in the Shetland Museum Auditorium. Admission is free entry and donations are kindly welcomed to the Alzheimer's Research Trust and Parkinson's Disease Society. The concert is themed around song and the programme includes popular classics by Beethoven, Copland, Gershwin, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Schubert and Vaughan Williams. |
