The next three dates in Shetland Arts regular Tuesday night traditional music sessions specifically for young musicians have been confirmed.

The dates are 3rd April, 1st May and 5th June 2007. The venue as usual will be the upstairs bar in the Lounge, Mounthooley Street - Shetland's legendary traditional music venue

The sessions start at 7pm and run on till 10pm - with beginners from 7 till 8.30 and more experienced young session players taking part from 8.30 onwards - although the younger / less experienced musicians are welcome to stay on and join in with the later session if they so wish.

Once again seasoned session musicians such as Violet Tulloch (piano) and Mark Laurenson (fiddle) will hopefully be on hand to guide the sessions and help the young musicians learn the skills required to successfully take part in these.

Young musicians of all ages and experience are invited to come along and Shetland Arts welcomes a full range of instruments, not just the more traditional fiddles and accordions.
