The 2009 Thomas Fraser Memorial Festival in the Hamnavoe Hall starts on Wednesday 11th Nov with "Long Gone Lonesome", a dramatised musical performance of Thomas' life in music, word and song. There will be concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening's featuring musicians including visiting peformers Peter Rowan; Chris Scruggs, David Tanner and Scott Icenogle from the USA; and the Lone Star Swing Band; and home-grown talent including May, Mackie and Rhonda; Martin Pottinger; Robbie Cumming; the Allan Tulloch Band; Arthur Pottinger; Eddie Williamson; and Brian Nicholson & Maggie Adamson.
