Shetland musicians escape Thailand troubles

Two Shetland musicians, Bryan Gear and Colin Sutherland, were among the last passengers to escape Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport before protesters brought it to a standstill on Wednesday (26th Nov 2008).

Fiddler Bryan and drummer Colin, who had been performing in Bangkok with David Little and bandleader Graham Geddes had to bluff their way past security guards, who had closed off the airport, in order to catch one off the last planes out.

Bryan Gear is due to launch his CD "Kebister Head" on 4th December
