This years schools music festival, due to take place in March, looks unlikely to go ahead following an internal dispute between music staff and eduction officials.

The staff appear to be suggesting that changes to the format for the 2008 event amount to a "dumbing down" of the event and, as a result, they have threatened to "boycott" the event.
