Shetland Arts are urging locals to get behind their efforts to deliver 'Mareel' in Shetland - a £9.3m fully fit for purpose integrated cinema, music and education centre.

At the same time a number of local Shetland Islands Councillors have bandied together to raise a 'Notice of Motion' in the council chamber, aimed at scuppering the organisations plans and removing the project from the council's local 'capital programme', for the forseeable future at least.
