With mid summer just around the corner, Shetland's two biggest summer events are almost upon us.

This years Johnsmas Foy will run from 19-29th of June 2008 with events from Fair Isle to Unst, with a focus on the North Isles due to the Hanseatic theme of this years foy.

Musical highlights include concerts by Bodega, Chris Stout, Chroma Ensemble, Bodega, Ed Kröger Quintet, Wolfgang Rieck, and Shetland Youth Jazz

Then there's Flavour of Shetland, a festival within the Johnsmas Foy, held on the Victoria Pier in Lerwick over the weekend of 19th - 22nd July
