Shetland's acclaimed young fiddle group 'Swinging Fiddles' will shortly leave on what could be their most exciting musical tour to date - a two week visit to Australia. The already well travelled group have been invited down under during June and July 2007 by the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club, a society who have maintained a number of ties with Shetland over the years. Swinging Fiddles will appear as their guests at a number of events in and around Melbourne before hopefully moving on to undertake further potential appearances in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, possibly including a number of festival dates.
