Fiddle Frenzy 2008 Review

Sunday 10th August saw the end of a hectic week of workshops, concerts and sessions.

This year's packed Fiddle Frenzy programme featured Shetland music luminaries including Brian Gear, Violet Tulloch,Catriona McDonald and Jenna Reid holding workshops and performing throughout Shetland, concerts with Drop The Box and Fullscelidh Spelemannslag, and dances with the Jim Halcrow Dance Band and Leeshinat (to name but a few!).

The combined fiddle school, music festival and cultural event, now into its 5th year, has been hailed by organisers Shetland Arts as the most successful to date.

Performers and tutors have already been announced for next year's event, including Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham and Fiddlers Bid.
