The Shetland Blues Festival have organised a slide guitar workshop in Islesburgh with visiting artist Kevin Brown on Thursday 27 August in Islesburgh Community Centre.

Kevin Brown is a highly respected professional recording artist, writer and performer of over 30 years standing and was taught by blues legend Son House, discovered by Joe Boyd (Fairport Convention, Nick Drake) and acclaimed by Mark Knopfler. The worshop will consist of basic slide guitar skills and then tackle a tune or two. The workshop will cost £ 10 and you can book your place by email or phone 07979530005.

Tickets will also be on sale in High Level Music for the gigs in the Royal British Legion Lerwick, Scalloway Hall and Northern Lights, Brae from this Friday.

Lineup Change

Tickets for the Sunday night gig will be on sale during the festival on the Friday and Saturday nights unfortunately there has been a change to the line up and Pete Stak and the Rayburns will be unable to play that night. A replacement band will be announced soon.
