Over and above the festivals and larger events promoted annually in Shetland, there are also a regular series of one-off concerts that also go on all year round.

These are held all over Shetland in pubs, clubs, community halls and, of course, in larger venues such as Lerwick Town Hall and the Clickimin Leisure Centre. These feature a range of both visiting and local artists.

Some of the varied names who have visited Shetland in the past include:

Pulp, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, The Proclamiers, Hayseed Dixie, Therapy?, The Bluetones,The Saw Doctors, Eddi Reader, Tommy Smith, Lindisfarne, Shooglenifty, Louden Wainwright III, Rodney Crowell, Steve Kaufmann, Ian Brown (Stone Roses) the Durutti Column, Jason Ringenberg (Jason and the Scorchers) Alabama 3, Ocean Colour Scene, Albert Lee, John Martyn, Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain, Martin Taylor, Juan Martin, John Goldie, Edinburgh Quarter,The Delgadoes, Phil and Tom Bancroft, Ba Cissoko, Scottish Guitar Quartet, The Felsons / Dean Owens and Salsa Celtica to name but a few.
