Welcome to Shetland Music

Welcome to the Shetland Music website, a site dedicated and devoted to the music, musicians, sights and sounds of the Shetland Islands.

We aim to provide you with information about the people, places and events that have shaped, and continue to shape, Shetland's unique, authentic and dynamic musical scene. We hope that this site will serve as a point of information and contact for all things musical in Shetland, and that it will also be entertaining and enlightening.

If it's related to music in Shetland, we will do our best to feature it, promote it and share it with you.

Get Involved

Please help us to make this site as comprehensive as possible by sending us regular up-to-date information about anything you are doing in a music-related context, or indeed that you know someone else is doing. Whether happening in Shetland, or with our artists outwith the islands, we are keen to know.

Look out for an ever-changing site with continually updated pages, news as it happens (or as it's about to happen) and all sorts of new elements in the not too distant future.

ARE YOU IN ANYWAYS INVOLVED WITH THE SHETLAND MUSIC SCENE OR INDUSTRY? If so we want to hear from YOU. As part of this website Shetland Arts intends to create a comprehensive database of music and music related contacts.

So if you are a jobbing musician or group, a music tutor, a sound or lighting engineer or company, song or tune writer, journalist, retail outlet, CD or DVD manufacturer, record label, artist manager or agent, marketing material provider, venue operator, equipment hirer or indeed anything or anyone at all connected with the Shetland music scene, then we want to hear from you.

Pass us on all your information and contact details and we will include you and them in the database and allow others to get in touch with you and hopefully use your services.

Use the contact form to get in touch, forward details or to obtain further information. Or telephone Shetland Arts on (01595) 743 843
